New heater installation on lady Jane. The heater is a Russian Planar 2 kw air heater with its own 7 litre diesel fuel tank.
we have fitted the heater on a pullout board that makes it much easier to lift up and manage the connections. The ducting run to the main cabin is 4 metre of 60 mm duct and this is insulated all the way with the superb but expensive thinsolate material by Webasto

To avoid any leakage of diesel into the heater if the pump becomes leaky when worn, we have fitted a small fuel tap which is turned off when leaving the boat for a long period

The silencer as well as the pipe is well wrapped in high temperature cloth

The exhaust from the heater is now triple wrapped in high temperature cloth and then inserted in a run of 60 mm duct...because the heater is located at the bottom of the locker it important that no odd fender or rope comes into contact with the hot pipe.
